Monitoring mechanism

Our institution has following the Anti - ragging guidelines as per the rules and regulations framed by the statutory bodies like University Grants Commission, Governments of India and Andhra Pradesh very strictly. We have constituted anti ragging committee, and anti ragging squad consist of senior staff members, students and local police personnel as members, with the Principal as overall in charge of the committee.

The committee monitors every time to prevent ragging (harassment, humiliation of juniors by senior students) in educational institution. The anti ragging squad members regularly conduct surprise checks in college hostels, class rooms, corridors and entire campus.

The measures taking by our institution are:

  • Counseling the students about the legal implications, if involved in ragging: it is a criminal offence, punishable under various sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
  • Anti ragging posters, boards displayed in every corner of the college buildings.
  • Regular conduct of orientation programs.
  • Students are submitting online anti ragging affidavits provided on our college website.
  • Depending on severity of the situation - college is imposing punishments like warning, suspension from attending classes and examinations; and reporting to the nearest police station.
  • Affected students are given free hand to approach the Principal; any staff member at any time to complaint, in strict confidentiality.

Our college has confirmed with utmost confidence that we are following all regulations framed by the statutory bodies to curb the menace of ragging in higher educational institutions.
