Profile of Dr G Sagar ,Professor in IT

Dr. Sagar has Bachelors Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Sri Venkateswara University, Masters Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and Ph.D. in Electronics and Computer Engineering from IIT Roorkee. Started his teaching career at JNTU Anantapur and involved in establishing the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering besides teaching. Subsequently moved to JNTU Kakinada and JNTU Hyderabad to work in the department of computer science and engineering. At both Hyderabad and Kakinada very actively involved in development of undergraduate and graduate programs in computer science and engineering besides establishing computer centre. Besides teaching involved in core committee of EAMCET and ECET while at JNTU Hyderabad. He was lesson writer for a fewcourses of distance education which was new concept of teaching at that point of time. He was also member of many of the State Council of Higher Education committees to examine the feasibility and eligibility of the applications to start institutions and programs. Later moved to Middle East on the invitation to start computer science and engineering department at Aligarh Muslim University International Centre (AMUIC). AMUIC has association with Al Ghurair University (AGU) Dubai. At Al Ghurair University involved in the accreditation of programs and establishment departments including computer centre. Further Al Ghurair university has sponsored branch campus of Manipal Academy of Higher Education(MAHE) and Birla Institue of Technology and Science at Dubai. Dr. Sagar was the coordinator of MAHE programs and deputy controller of examinations. Also worked for many twining programs of Al Ghurair University with many US institutions. At Al Ghurair University he was Dean College of Engg., Dean Educational Support Services and Director IT being Professor in the department IT. In the beginning of year 2020 moved to Usha Rama College of Engg and Technology as Professor and Dean ( Research and Industry Institute Interaction). His research interests include microcomputer applications and Internet of Things. Total academic experience both in India and abroad spans over 40 years.
