Department of Science & Humanities
The Department of Science and Humanities started from the inception of the college.The Department of Science and Humanities consists of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English disciplines. All the disciplines exist as separate division and maintain individual identity. The purpose of the department is to lay a strong foundation of basic principles of various disciplines in the minds of the students. Its objective is to provide value-based education to the budding engineers. The department comprises of highly qualified, experienced and goal-oriented members with specialization in various fields. Besides Outcome Based Education (OBE), the department inculcates value-based education. Besides academics the Department is actively involved in the development of students' personality, communication and soft skills to boost them in the modern and globally competitive environment. It also encourages students to take up challenging projects and internships at the National level in order to fine-tune their technical skills.
The Department provides opportunities for them to join various student clubs such as Literary Club, Photo& Film Club, Cultural Club etc. It has opened avenues to promote Entrepreneurship among budding engineers and inbuilt in them the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility. The department also helps the students to acquire an English Communication skill to increase their proficiency in English Language which will enable them to cope up with the cut-throat competition in the job market. Developing the moral behaviour among the students, utilizing the human resources and coordinating academic responsibilities are the exclusive potentials of the department. The department regularly organizes workshops, symposia and conferences in new emerging areas for the benefit of the students, researchers, faculty members and industrialists.The Department has 32 faculty members; there are 6 Professors, 8 Associate Professors, 18 Assistant professors in the department.

To nurture and inculcate knowledge and understanding of engineering sciences amongst the budding technocrats and groom the students with intellectual and professional strength.
Mission
To play a pivotal role in laying the foundations of engineering education by building the professional strengths of the students in basic sciences & engineering disciplines and strengthening the foundation of aspiring engineers.
To upgrade the quality of technical education and produce dynamic engineers and entrepreneurs for the country
To inculcate ethical values and promote social responsibility through an innovative learning process in basic sciences and humanities
