The department of Electronics & Communication Engineering aims to impart value-based technical education and train students to become well-rounded engineers. Since its inception in the academic year 2008-09 with an initial intake of 60 students, the department has grown significantly. The current intake of the ECE department is 180 students. The department boasts a faculty strength of 53 well-qualified, experienced, and dedicated postgraduates, including 11 doctorates, with some faculty members currently pursuing Ph.D.s in various streams.

The ECE Department has consistently followed a high growth path, driven by a strong and committed faculty dedicated to engineering education, who work with zeal and enthusiasm. The department's motive is to provide a vibrant and optimal learning environment that enables students to excel in today's global competition. To stay abreast of current technological trends, the department has established several centers of excellence in collaboration with industries, giving students a realistic and pragmatic view of the Electronics and Communication industry. The department encourages students to pursue postgraduate studies and prepares them for leadership roles in research and developmentIn addition to its undergraduate program, the department offers an M.Tech course in VLSI & Embedded Systems, which was introduced in the academic year 2012-13 with an initial intake of 18 students. The current intake for the M.Tech course is 12 students.The ECE department has a recognized Research Centre by JNTUK, Kakinada, offering a Ph.D. program. Currently, three students are pursuing their Ph.D. in our department.

The ECE department boasts a robust infrastructure, featuring eight state-of-the-art laboratories: Microwave and Optical Communication Lab, Microprocessor and Microcontroller Lab, Linear & Digital ICs Lab, Communications Lab, Simulation Lab, EDC Lab, IoT Lab, and DSP & VLSI Lab. These labs are fully equipped to cater to the latest advancements in technology. The computer lab is air-conditioned and equipped with necessary systems and licensed software. The department also features 10 well-furnished classrooms, including an e-classroom facility, seminar Hall, as well as the HOD's room, three staff rooms, professor cabins, a department library with a diverse collection of textbooks, magazines, and competitive exam preparation books, and a Department Exam Cell Room.

Apart from the curriculum, we offer hands-on experience through a lab-based Work Study Programme for II and III year students, aimed at improving their technical skills.
